About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Emergency Medicine Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health . South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted NYS medical license
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine

Responsibilities

  • Assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical exams, and treat patients of all ages who present in the Emergency Department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition.
  • Provide comprehensive and quality care to the patients.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing, as well as other clinical services in the hospital.
  • Complete all assigned administrative tasks/charts, as required by the Department, as well as the hospital.
  • Provide clinical teaching and oversights for Residents, Fellows, and Medical Students.
  • Must be up to date with clinical skills and knowledge base by regular CME, as well as taking part in regular Departmental teaching activities.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $284,678 (Board Eligible); $290,063 (Board Certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $408,665 (Board Eligible) and $414,589 (Board Certified) , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
