About The Position

Granger Medical Clinic is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EMG Technician to join our clinical team. The EMG Technician will perform nerve conduction studies (NCS) and assist physicians with electromyography (EMG) procedures to help diagnose neuromuscular disorders. This role requires strong technical ability, patient care skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Schedule: Your typical schedule is 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Procedures begin at 7:30 a.m., and the EMG Tech is required to arrive 15 minutes prior to the first procedure. The final procedure is scheduled at 3:30 p.m., and the EMG Tech may leave once it has been completed and all cleanup is finished. Monday - St Mark's location Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - West Valley/Fairbourne location Friday - West Valley/Fairbourne location - as needed when provider is on shift

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited neurodiagnostic or EMG technician program preferred.
  • Certification such as CNCT (Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist) or R.NCS.T. is a plus.
  • Prior experience in neurology, neurodiagnostics, or a clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.
  • Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nerve conduction studies according to established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for EMG procedures, explaining tests and ensuring comfort.
  • Assist physicians during electromyography examinations.
  • Accurately record, analyze, and document test results.
  • Maintain and calibrate EMG equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Monitor patient responses and report abnormalities to supervising physician.
  • Maintain patient records and update electronic medical systems.
  • Provide compassionate care and address patient concerns.
