About The Position

Join our Embedded Controls team as an Engineer II, contributing to the design and development of electronic control units and printed wiring board assemblies that power critical electric systems for military and commercial aircraft. In this role, you will apply electrical and electronic engineering principles to develop reliable aerospace hardware that meets specifications, customer requirements, and established engineering standards. You will perform electronic circuit design and schematic work, analyze circuits, manage requirements, and conduct design reviews and engineering analyses. You will also support testing, collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist manufacturing, and resolve technical challenges to ensure products perform reliably throughout their lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative aerospace systems and contribute to high-impact engineering solutions in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Prior experience in electronic circuit design, schematics, and circuit analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Experience designing electronic control units or PWBA for aerospace or high-reliability systems.
  • Knowledge of circuit design and hardware development processes.
  • Experience with schematic design tools (Concept HDL, Mentor Graphics/Siemens EDA).
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools such as TeamCenter or Polarion.
  • Knowledge of aerospace testing standards such as RTCA DO-160.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with MS Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic control units and printed wiring board assemblies for aircraft electric power systems.
  • Create and manage unit and module requirements and support requirements validation and change management.
  • Perform schematic design using tools such as Concept HDL or Mentor Graphics.
  • Conduct design reviews and engineering analyses (stress, stability, lightning, and performance).
  • Develop test procedures and support development and qualification testing.
  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, and logic analyzers for testing and validation.
  • Document design studies, trade studies, and failure analyses.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and assist with troubleshooting production or field issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to perform root cause analysis, support fielded products, and address component obsolescence.
