The Team you will be joining: HQR (Hospital Quality Reporting) Our team is charged with maintaining and improving the software at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that supports the Hospital Quality Reporting program. Thousands of hospitals across the country depend on these systems to submit quality measure data that reflects the care beneficiaries receive in their facility. Our teams will continuously strive to modernize these systems, while improving them in ways that reduce provider burden and minimize costs to CMS. We do this through HCD and Service design practices, product thinking, and skilled engineering. At Bellese, we’re relentlessly focused on enabling and empowering providers to focus on improving the quality and safety of patient care. As an Engineer II: Influence: Making an impact on one or more projects or products. Technology: Highly proficient in one or more technologies within the Software Engineering discipline. Particularly skilled in one or more technologies. System: Reliably scopes, estimates, designs, and delivers medium-to-large features while reducing the technical debt of one or more projects or products. People: Proactively supports other team members and helps them to be successful. Process: Follows the team processes, delivering a consistent flow of features to production. These are the types of things you’ll be working on Leverage test-driven development to deliver backend systems and user interfaces to ease development and integration between them. Contribute to the development of APIs, specifications, and data models, facilitating integration with frontend applications and third-party systems. Design, implement, and maintain data interactions. Optimize data operations for performance and scalability, and ensure data integrity and security. Design and develop user interfaces, informed by UX designs that meet customer needs. Understand and contribute to functional and non-functional automated testing suites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Golang
  • Angular
  • Cloud Experience (ideally AWS)
  • SQL experience
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, code using commenting when appropriate
  • Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines backed by Jenkins.
  • US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US without Sponsorship
  • US Residency for at least the past 3 years
  • Able to meet the requirements to hold a position of Public Trust, including successful completion of a US Government background investigation
