Responsibilities

  • Preparing contract plans for Preservation, Rehabilitation, and Repair (PRR) and Emergency repairs for Existing Structures. This involves an ability to read and understand old designs and plans, structure inspection reports, and field scoping notes to best present information in plans form. Requires some field work in order to determine extent of damage.
  • Prepare contract plans for new or replacement structures. This involves the layout and plan preparation of bridges, culverts and other structures in accordance with AASHTO Specifications and the Structures Management Unit Design Manual, policies and procedures.
