At Lam, as an Engineering Technician, you play a crucial role in supporting semiconductor manufacturing. In this role, you will directly contribute to the SEM lab team, including STEM and TEM sample preparation, sample imaging, internal and external customer support for design, test, modification, of semiconductor manufacturing.Your commitment to precision problem-solving enhances Lam's engineering systems.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of related experience.
• Candidates interested in the field of electron microscopy as a career.

• Ability to work a compressed nightshift schedule.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree, Technical Certificate, Diploma or higher in a technical field.
• Bachelor's or associate's degree in a physical science is a plus.
• Experience in semiconductor industry is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience operating dual beam FIB/SEM tools for the preparation of lamella for STEM or TEM imaging
• Knowledge of the physics involved with FIB/SEM tools, such as vacuum systems, voltage/current effects, and ion sputtering behavior a plus.
• Familiarity with key developments and materials in the semiconductor industry a plus.
• Experience in customer IP protection and sample handling.

Responsibilities

• Operate a state-of-the-art Dual Beam Electron Microscope in order to prepare semiconductor samples for imaging, either with a SEM or TEM.
• Prepare samples using precision Ion Beam Microscope.
• Protect customer IP through procedure and vigilance.
• Receive and integrate feedback from imaging in service of continuous improvement to the sample preparation process.
• Be part of a fast paced SEM/TEM lab team
