Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field
1+ years’ experience in environmental engineering or science preferred
Proficiency in understanding and applying relevant environmental laws and regulations
Experience in environmental management systems
Technical knowledge across a broad spectrum of environmental aspects and requirements (e.g. water and wastewater, waste, air emissions, incident prevention and response, reporting, etc.)
Ability to quickly learn systems used to manage environmental impact within the organization
MS Office including File Manager, Excel, Word and Outlook, and Teams, or ability to learn in a timely manner
Good communication skills in both verbal and written form
Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Organization skills and attention to detail
Leadership skills and ability to manage change effectively

Responsibilities

Leader of site’s Environmental Management System including writing, communicating and implementation of the site’s environmental policies
Ensures adherence to environmental laws and regulations at the site including monitoring and reporting
Ensures implementation and completion of environmental related company requirements
Coordination of the RESH Environmental strategy and RESH OGSM for areas of environment as appliable at site level
Identifies important, emerging environmental trends and ensures that the site is equipped to continually improve
Executes environmental awareness programs across the site in alignment with company strategy
Trains the Site Organization and supports transfer of skills related to environment
Coordinates investigations and actions required through closure for Environmental incidents, non-compliances, and non-conformities
Participates in internal and external environmental audits received and coordination of site lead internal environmental audits
Point of contact for local environmental regulatory and affected certification agencies
Participant with local trade associations regarding environmental topics
