About The Position

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager develops, coordinates, and implements environmental, health, and safety programs designed to support safe operations across the organization. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety regulations while promoting a strong culture of workplace safety. The EHS Manager partners with operations and leadership teams to monitor safety performance, identify potential hazards, and implement preventative measures to reduce workplace incidents. This role supports the organization’s commitment to protecting employees, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in environmental and safety practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of occupational EHS experience in an industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety principles and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct safety training and communicate safety standards clearly
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
  • Experience maintaining safety documentation and compliance reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical environmental, health, and safety guidance and support to field operations and leadership teams.
  • Prepare, maintain, and implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Identify organizational safety training needs and develop and coordinate EHS training programs.
  • Monitor and interpret federal and state EHS regulations and communicate regulatory changes to leadership.
  • Provide safety information, signage, barriers, and other materials to warn employees of potential hazards and prevent access to hazardous conditions.
  • Maintain EHS documentation and records, including OSHA recordkeeping and environmental reporting required by regulatory agencies.
  • Support Workers’ Compensation case management, working with insurance carriers and loss control specialists to reduce workplace hazards and lost-time incidents.
  • Ensure site compliance with internal observation and safety programs while identifying risks and opportunities to reduce injuries and environmental concerns.
  • Conduct facility inspections and audits to detect potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
  • Recommend corrective and preventative actions and follow up to ensure implementation.
  • Review incident and near-miss reports and ensure timely investigation and resolution.
  • Review, update, publish, and conduct employee training related to EHS standards and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
