About The Position

Qorvo is looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the package test operation. This is a fast paced and growing part of the business. This is a non-exempt position working on a compressed work week schedule. The position will require most of the time to be spent in a clean room environment (smock/gloves)

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • 2+ years relevant work experience required
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience is required
  • Hands on technical maintenance experience in high volume semiconductor or test environment required
  • The ideal candidate will have direct experience on package test equipment (Handlers, test equipment, wafer probers)
  • Candidate must adhere to all company safety protocols
  • Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills are essential.
  • Basic familiarity of MS Office programs.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision in a fast paced, high volume production environment
  • Must be physically capable of standing/walking up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 60 pounds
  • Must be physically capable of supporting equipment maintenance that requires occasionally bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, squatting, etc.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on test equipment including handlers, probers, LTX testers, and other test instruments.
  • Work closely with the factory management team to prioritize job tasks
  • Work closely with peers, supervisor, and engineering team to deeply understand root cause of failure and use those learnings to continuously improve equipment availability to meet production goals
  • Work with vendors, field service and technical representatives.
  • Participate in and lead LEAN activities such as 5S, floor layouts
  • Document all work performed on equipment.
