Equity Research Associate (Enterprise Software & AI) – Evercore ISI
About The Position
A Senior Managing Director at Evercore ISI is looking to hire an experienced Associate to support equity research coverage in Enterprise Software and AI located in New York., NY. The ideal candidates are highly motivated, curious individuals with a strong work ethic, and candidates should be comfortable working independently as well as in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Prior sell-side research, buy-side research or investment banking experience is required (2-4 years). Prior coverage of the software industry or technology industry is also preferred. Requirements
- 2-4 years of prior experience in equity research, investment banking, or other finance roles
- Exceptional analytical and Excel modeling capabilities
- Excellent communication skills; the job entails significant writing and PowerPoint responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Concrete understanding of / demonstrated interest in corporate finance & equity markets
- Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 (or willingness to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of the enterprise software industry or technology companies is preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Develop and update company-specific and industry financial models
- Perform financial and valuation analysis of covered companies in the enterprise software universe, including DCF models
- Author industry and company-specific research reports, including in-depth reports on specific enterprise software trends
- Attend industry events and gather information on current trends in the enterprise software market
- Work with other members of the team on in-depth industry reports
- Interact with buy-side clients to discuss stock theses on covered companies
- Oversee data collection and monitor investor news services
- Other duties as necessary
