About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Estimating Assistant / Junior Estimator to support the estimating function. This role will work directly with the Estimating Manager to assist in preparing quotes by gathering material costs, reviewing documentation, and organizing information required for accurate estimates.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
High School diploma or equivalent (required).

Nice To Haves

Ability to interpret basic drawings or technical documentation is a plus but not required.
Previous experience in manufacturing, estimating, purchasing, or administrative support is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist the Estimating Manager with preparing quotes and cost estimates.
Review drawings, specifications, and customer documentation to identify required materials and processes.
Contact vendors to request material pricing and availability.
Compile and organize information needed for quote preparation.
Enter and maintain estimating data within internal systems and spreadsheets.
Track vendor responses and follow up on material pricing when necessary.
Support the estimating function with administrative and coordination tasks as requested.
