THE JOB PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel NJ is seeking rock stars to join our team as Event Security. As a member of the security department, you help to ensure safety, and engage with guests to assist with their needs before, during and after the show. Must be 18 or older to apply. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO You will be our first line of defense at the front gates conducting thorough inspections using metal detectors or pat-downs to ensure no weapons or prohibited items enter the venue. Use screening devices and conduct bag searches to prevent prohibited items from entering. Promote guest safety by proactively interacting with guests and promptly addressing potential hazards within your assigned area. Monitor guest interactions to prevent and defuse altercations effectively. Guide guests and staff during emergency evacuations and offer necessary assistance. Maintain a visible presence by continuously circulating throughout your work area during your shift. Enforce venue policies regarding photos, videos, and recording devices. Protect venue property and prevent theft or damage. Maintain clear and constant communication with team members using radios, hand signals, and flashlights. Circulate among guests and staff to maintain safety, order, and protect venue property. Help ensure the venue remains safe, clean, and welcoming for guests. Monitor and authorize entry and exit of all individuals to maintain security and prevent unauthorized access. Prepare reports on daily activities and incidents, such as damage, theft, unauthorized persons, or unusual events, as needed. Patrol the premises to detect and prevent intrusions, ensuring all doors, windows, and gates are secure. Escort or transport individuals as needed to provide personal protection or reach designated locations. Address rule violations by warning, apprehending, or removing offenders from the premises as necessary. Assist guests during emergencies by guiding them to exits and providing instructions or support. Collaborate with staff members after events to close the venue, including collecting and storing event equipment and participating in our post show sustainability efforts by collecting recycling. Assist guests by providing directions and information about the venue and surrounding areas. Ensure guests have a safe and enjoyable experience throughout the event. Must complete all necessary on-line and in-person trainings. Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisors or Management.
