About The Position

The Events Operations Intern supports the Event Sales, Food & Beverage, and Signature Events teams at the Anne Springs Close Greenway. This internship offers hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and executing a wide variety of events in a dynamic outdoor setting. The intern will gain exposure to event logistics, client services, food and beverage operations, and large-scale signature events while working alongside experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong interest in event planning and operations management
  • Can work up to 30 hours per week for at least 8 weeks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Program length may vary depending upon the intern’s availability, but a minimum of 8 weeks is required
  • Availability to work weekends and evenings
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification; will train
  • Child and Youth Protection training; will train

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and coordinating all aspects of client events, including timelines, vendor communication, logistics, and on-site execution.
  • Participate in event planning meetings and gain experience managing event details through CRM systems and other planning tools.
  • Support the execution of signature events such as outdoor concerts, races, and festivals, including parking coordination, green room setup, awards distribution, volunteer coordination, and guest services.
  • Assist with event logistics, including food and beverage operations, venue readiness and cleanliness, and basic inventory support.
  • Learn and support budget tracking, expense management, and procurement processes.
  • Attend weekly BEO meetings; assist in communicating key event details to operational teams to ensure seamless execution and adherence to company standards.
  • Provide on-site operational support during events, maintaining a high level of professionalism and guest service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support successful event execution.
