About The Position

The EVS Equipment Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and repairing equipment used by the Environmental Services team to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment.   • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and software.

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent required. Technical certifications in equipment repair or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in an EVS, custodial, or facilities management setting.
  • Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening, to include Department of Motor Vehicle check and Drug Test required

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on EVS equipment, such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners.
  • Diagnose mechanical or electrical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for complex repairs or warranty claims.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Track equipment inventory, ensuring all tools and machinery are accounted for and in proper working condition.
  • Order and stock replacement parts, consumables, and new equipment as needed.
  • Training and Support:
  • Train EVS staff on the proper use, care, and maintenance of equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to team members experiencing equipment issues during shifts.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance schedules, repairs, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with EVS leadership to evaluate new equipment and technologies.
