About The Position

The hours of this shift will be 9:00am to 5:00 pm. The EVS Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the cleaning/ quality of the area assigned meets cleaning standards. Either assists with shift start and end process or is responsible for shift starts and end process depending on leadership configuration for the day. Ensures that assigned employees daily task assignments have been completed. Assists in creating the schedule and managing PTO. Ensures shift coverage and appropriate decision making in the absence of the manager/director. Ensures that areas of responsibility are maintained in accordance with hospital polices and regulatory bodies. Coaches, guides and mentors staff as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Prior management experience as a supervisor or a minimum of two (2) years as a Lead
  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent
  • Possess attributes exhibiting maturity, leadership, self motivation, flexibility, and teamwork
  • Ability to prioritize and complete duties in a timely manner, and prepare timely and accurate documentation and reports
  • Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards
  • Promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations, role model positive and professional behavior
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; intermediate computer skills
  • Able to operate heavy floor machines and lift up to 30 - 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of acute hospital experience, within in a children’s hospital
  • Experience directly supervising a team of fifteen (15) or more
  • Daily floor care experience
  • Previous hard floor and carpet project experience
  • Experience with AIDET
  • Proficient knowledge in infection prevention and chemical, medical and general waste streams
  • Associate’s degree
  • DOT Certification
  • Ebola Readiness Training
  • County HAZ MAT Certification
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish
  • Ability to type 35 wpm
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
