About Corporate Groups It takes a village, and at BioMarin our corporate groups are the people behind our success. CONTRACT: This position is two days per week (16 hrs.). One day in San Rafael and one day offsite. The one day onsite can be any day from Monday to Thursday. Worker can pick which day they want to work onsite Senior Executive Assistant – Part Time We are seeking an exceptional Senior Executive Assistant to support the external government affairs team. This opportunity requires a polished professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. More than an administrative partner, the Senior Executive Assistant will serve as a trusted extension of this externally-facing team—anticipating needs, taking initiative, and creating leverage.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience supporting C-suite or senior executives in complex, global, or high-growth organizations.
  • A reputation for being proactive, kind, and highly attuned to anticipating the needs of executives.
  • Demonstrated success managing senior leadership teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities in high-pressure environments.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with executive-level polish.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and creativity in approaching challenges.
  • Proven fluency with modern digital tools and platforms; comfort guiding others in navigating emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate complex scheduling, travel, communications, and offsite preparation with accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison of external partners
  • Partner in building and sustaining positive environment by supporting offsites, events, and initiatives that strengthen engagement.
  • Leveraging digital tools—including emerging technologies like AI—to drive efficiency and unlock new ways of working.
  • Draft, review, and refine executive-level communications, presentations, and reports with clarity, accuracy, and professional polish.
  • Handle budgeting of group, including management of ARIBA contracts, PO generation, and invoicing.
  • Prepare federally required reports.
