This position offers the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule up to the companies discretion. This position is seeking someone to apply their engineering skills to projects involving landfills, coal combustion residuals, dams and levees, and mines while further developing the business skills needed for a successful consulting career. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering. (required)
  • At least 7 years (8+ preferred) of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
  • Ability to travel to client facilities. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E.) (preferred)
  • Experience with modeling/design tools such as AutoCAD, ArcMap, SLIDE, FLAC, PLAXIS. (preferred)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Civil design, landfill design, and site layout.
  • Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage.
  • Geotechnical and environmental site characterization.
  • Develop and manage instrumentation monitoring systems.
  • Small project/task management and proposal preparation support.
  • Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
  • Fieldwork associated with design and construction services.
  • Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
