About The Position

The Expo assists with ensuring kitchen orders are prepared in timely manner. They finalize the presentation of each plate and ensure the appropriate temperature. They communicate with runners and servers to deliver complete orders.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant
• Able to multi-task
• Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
• Customer service focused and solution oriented
• Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
• Food handler's card may be required according to local and or state regulations

Responsibilities

• Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
• Working on several different orders simultaneously.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Attention to detail.
• Key focus on presentation.
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations.
• Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron and confirm proper preparation of food before plating.
• Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.
• Adherence to all state and local licenses.
