Position Summary: The F&A Intern will work alongside our Finance and Accounting teams and will have an opportunity to learn about audit and compliance processes. An ideal candidate should have interest in learning about consulting business functions and demonstrate a passion about emergency management.

Requirements

• A basic understanding of general financial concepts
• Interest in learning about consulting and emergency management
• Basic computer literacy, including navigation of Microsoft Office tools
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Shadow the team during various accounting cycles to learn about how transactions are finalized and reconciled
• Participate in departmental meetings to learn about the use of financial data in leadership decisions
• Gain an understanding of audit-readiness by reviewing internal business processes and state compliance policies
