Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, the Supervisor will lead their assigned production area with the overall responsibility of performance across the shift. People, Safety, Quality, and Production are areas of importance – In That Order.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Engineering or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or industrial experience. Previous leadership experience in Team Lead or Supervisor role preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills at varying levels within the organization.
  • Ability to coach, train, and influence others while demonstrating a respect for the capabilities of all people.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products for tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Functional knowledge of basic continuous improvement methodologies and application.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CNC's, Punch Presses, and Saws are preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Passion for technology and desire to stay abreast of latest technology and industry techniques.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Empower team members and support associates to achieve personal, plant and company goals.
  • Create, maintain, and/or improve the safety culture in your assigned area.
  • Conduct safety audits, lead safety training, behavior/awareness programs, and provide a strong safety presence on the plant floor.
  • Partners with Quality and Engineering to ensure all manufactured goods meet the appropriate finished product specification.
  • Use the “Voice of the Customer” (internal or external) to create a continuous improvement culture in your assigned area.
  • Schedules and supervises manufacturing resources to meet production goals established by operations management in alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving tools to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with business partners in Human Resources, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Quality, Scheduling, Engineering, and Reliability & Maintenance.
  • Model “The Components of Our Core” (Bonnell Aluminum values) in your actions, decisions, and daily interactions.
  • Provides coaching and training, ensures adherence to established plant procedures (including work rules and safety guidelines), and consistently demonstrates respect for the abilities of all individuals.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with documented operating procedures and recommend updates to these procedures when necessary.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with business partners in Human Resources, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Quality, Scheduling, Engineering, and Reliability & Maintenance.
