What You Can Expect to Do In this role, you will be the backbone of our clinic’s health and safety, ensuring a pristine environment for our staff, pet patients, and visitors. You can expect to manage daily cleaning and sanitization schedules, coordinating closely with the veterinary team to adapt to the facility's shifting needs. From maintaining and restocking essential supplies to executing rigorous infection control procedures, you’ll play a vital role in creating a comfortable, hygienic space where high-quality care can thrive.

Requirements

  • A love for animals
  • Minimum of 1 year of housekeeping experience
  • Must have a passion for cleaning
  • Excellent communication skills with a team-focused mindset while remaining compassionate, attentive and positive with co-workers and the hospital needs
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to think quickly and remain calm in emergent situations
  • A collaborative spirit- a willingness to support the team, be flexible and dependable with excellent attendance
  • A strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, managing time and priorities with minimal direct supervision
  • This is an overnight shift role, and does require working non-traditional hours, including weekends and some holidays

Responsibilities

  • Follow cleaning and housekeeping schedules to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Coordinate daily cleaning tasks with the veterinary team to meet the needs of pet patients and staff.
  • Maintain and restock adequate levels of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
  • Perform daily cleaning duties including washing, sanitizing, and disinfecting various surfaces and fixtures throughout the facility.
  • Properly dispose of waste and trash in designated containers.
  • Ensure all work areas are neat and tidy, and store cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies properly.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
