About The Position

The Facilities and Transportation Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the organization's fleet, including 12-passenger vans and a cargo van, ensuring all vehicles are in safe operating condition. This role also includes handling building maintenance tasks and performing cleaning duties at our two Clubhouse facilities in Elgin and South Elgin. To be successful in this role, the Facilities & Transportation Fleet Coordinator must demonstrate knowledge of mechanical systems in facilities and vehicles.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Knowledge of building maintenance and repair work.
Experience maintaining and inspecting transportation vehicles.
Willingness to perform cleaning and custodial duties.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety standards.
Flexibility to travel between locations as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electric floor buffer preferred.

Responsibilities

Fleet Management:
Conduct regular cleaning, and inspections and coordinate maintenance of our fleet of 8 vans.
Ensure vehicles comply with IL safety regulations and standards.
Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Coordinate vehicle scheduling for transportation needs.
Ensure timely registration, insurance, and documentation for all vehicles.
Ensure vehicles are cleaned on a regular basis including the interior and exterior.
Van Certification Support:
Collaborate with the HR department to train staff in becoming authorized van drivers.
Help manage the certification process, ensuring that employees meet the necessary requirements.
Building Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of Clubhouse facilities (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, drywall repair, painting).
Handle repairs and coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
Cleaning Duties:
Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and in compliance with safety standards.
Clean and maintain common areas, restrooms, and offices within the Clubhouse.
Ensure that cleaning supplies are adequately stocked and reordered when needed.
Travel:
Regular travel between the South Elgin and Elgin Clubhouses for facility and fleet maintenance.
Occasional travel for other job-related tasks as needed.
