About The Position

The Facilities Intern is responsible for maintaining and improving the equipment and grounds at the 1111 and 1025 buildings.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in a facility/ground operation
• 3.00+ cumulative GPA
• High School/College student preferred
• Willingness to work part time
• Ability to operate mowers and lawn equipment
• Ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs
• Skills to operate lawn tractors and dump trucks
• 18 yrs or older to operate equipment
• Complies with safety rules and regulations in all aspects of the daily job requirements
• Knowledge of common and complex concepts, practices and procedures within the facilities field
• Strong work ethic that shows enthusiasm, energy and commitment and is consistent with the defined values of the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Independent thinker
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently

Responsibilities

• Provides miscellaneous facility related repairs
• Maintains facility interior and exterior related repairs and general upkeep
• Performs mowing and plant care to ensure optimum life and beauty
• Landscape maintenance
