Job Purpose: A Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of various facilities, including buildings, equipment, and grounds. Duties encompass a wide range of tasks, from inspecting equipment or the facility, to addressing emergency repairs and ensuring the safety and functionality of the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform a broad spectrum of repairs to the inside / outside structure of a building. Repairs plumbing fixtures, pipes and pumps. Repairs structural damage to walls, windows, floors and ceiling. Inspect and service equipment, including HVAC. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical. Identifying the root cause of malfunctions and implementing effective solutions. Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and facility personnel regarding maintenance needs and issues. Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and other general repairs to maintain the building’s appearance and functionality. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections. Construct and maintain cleanrooms. Supplemental Functions: Copying, filing, and scanning of documents. Encompass a wide range of abilities related to using computers and related technologies effectively. Performs other similar duties as required. Job Specifications and Qualifications: Experience in facilities maintenance or related fields, and knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
