A Day in the Life At our Tempe Campus, you’ll support mission-critical facilities that enable life-saving innovation and manufacturing. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician III, you’ll play a key role in sustaining a safe, reliable, and inclusive work environment. This role is fully onsite in Tempe.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Facilities/HVAC experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, or electrical systems
  • Knowledge and experience working with RODI Systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical schematics, and operating manuals
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (semiconductor, medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of building automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell)
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols or ISO-classified environments
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems in a cleanroom and production facility
  • Work within RODI Systems
  • Troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams
  • Respond to urgent building system alarms and prioritize work orders based on safety, production, and compliance needs
  • Maintain and document equipment records using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Ensure all tasks comply with OSHA, Medtronic EHS standards, FDA regulations, and cGMP guidelines
  • Support facilities projects including equipment upgrades, utility installs, and space reconfigurations
  • Mentor and guide junior technicians as needed
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace
  • First shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, M-F) with flexibility to occasionally cover other shifts (2nd, 3rd and/or weekends) as needed
