About The Position

Overview of the role: Lila Sciences seeks a results-driven Facilities Project Specialist to support the Real Estate and Facilities team. This role requires a solid understanding of business operations, the ability to execute across multiple projects, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of translating complex topics into clear, actionable insights. This position is in-office in Cambridge, MA. What You'll Be Building Streamlined cross-functional collaboration: serve as the liaison across teams, ensuring alignment, clear decision rights, and timely information flow. Efficient program execution: plan, track, and deliver facilities and real estate initiatives on schedule and within scope, balancing strategic intent with operational reality. Data-driven decision support: produce accurate reports, dashboards, and stakeholder materials that translate complex topics into actionable insights. Scalable processes: design and implement processes that improve efficiency, documentation accuracy, and knowledge retention across the Real Estate and Facilities group. Impactful communications: craft clear communications, memos, and presentations for executives and stakeholders that drive alignment and buy-in. Quality documentation: maintain organized, accessible documentation and records to support audits, planning, and ongoing operations. Continuous improvement: proactively identify opportunities to optimize workflows, tooling, and collaboration to boost team performance

Requirements

  • 2+years’ experience in a fast-paced life science environment (or similar high-growth setting).
  • Highly organized with disciplined follow-through and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, actionable insights.
  • Adaptability and resourcefulness—comfortable shifting between strategic analysis, operational execution, and ad hoc responsibilities.
  • A self-starter with strong ownership, proactive judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and documentation tools (e.g., Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).
  • Experience supporting real estate, facilities, or operations in a life science or tech environment.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to create compelling decks and executive-style reports.
