About The Position

The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of equipment used to support aircraft operations. This includes mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. The technician ensures that all equipment is functioning safely and efficiently to support aviation operations.

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
A technical degree or certification in mechanics, electronics, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to travel with designated program; approximately 80% travel requirement.
Previous experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in an aviation or aerospace environment.
On-the-job training or apprenticeship in ground support equipment maintenance.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in using diagnostic and repair tools/equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to diagnose and fix equipment issues.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure equipment is properly maintained and safe to use.
Relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or specific equipment certifications.
Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to interface with other department representatives as assigned, to ensure manufacturing operations and project receive effective technical support.
Ability to perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/facilitator.

Responsibilities

Safety: Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Training: Participate in ongoing training to stay current with the latest technology and repair techniques.
Communication: Coordinate with other team members and departments for efficient workflow.
