Facility Maintenance Manager We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to maintain our multi-location facility. The ideal candidate should have previous hands-on experience performing facility maintenance and repairs as well as overseeing projects and vendors. They will ensure a safe and clean working environment for all employees and clients.

Requirements

  • Shifts vary; Dealership Operates Monday – Saturday; Scheduling may require weekends before/after business hours.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Authorized to work in the USA for any employer
  • All applicants must have a current and valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and must be insurable under our garage-keepers policy standards
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
  • Skilled use with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, electronic testing devices to maintain and repair facilities and equipment.
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Basic mathematical skills using American units of measure
  • Physical demands include: frequently move and position body to traverse multi-level Dealership property and various terrain; enter/exit/drive/operate vehicles and lifts; detect and identify vehicle issues and safety concerns; exert force to move/manipulate objects (up to 100lbs occasionally, 50lbs frequently, 10lbs constantly); operate tools and equipment; repetitive motion.
  • Work is conducted inside, outside, on public and private roadways, and in proximity to moving vehicles and equipment in a shop environment with potential exposure to loud noises and various industrial chemicals.
  • Please note: Employees are trained on protocols, proper material/chemical handling and provided with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with OSHA standards. Employees must strictly adhere to all mandatory safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building maintenance, janitorial work, inspections, and basic repairs in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees.
  • Ensure all aspects of our facility are compliant with federal, state, local, and internal regulations, safety standards, building codes, maintenance schedules, and record/reporting requirements.
  • Effectively plan, coordinate, implement, and monitor approved projects.
  • Preform self-repair on machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
  • Diagnose and correct mechanical issues.
  • Oversee outside vendors/contractors when on-site professional repairs are necessary.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Negotiate and enforce contracts.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facilities: empty trash receptacles, clean service and customer areas, remove debris from lot, clean driveway and sidewalks removing snow and debris.
  • Assist Shop with: oil and water spills and emptying drain tubs, returning cores to storage area, removing scrap parts from shop after checking with parts manager..
  • Clean and check operation of power equipment and maintain yard equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Drain and dispose of used oil filters properly, clean oil storage tanks according to procedures.
  • Refuel company vehicles.
  • Proactively communicate potential issues with management and other departments in order to maintain our equipment and facilities to provide the best possible customer experience.
