As our System Planning Engineering Co-op , you’ll support efforts to improve the interconnection process as new energy resources connect to the grid. You’ll help develop tools, automate workflows, and enhance how data is managed to support faster and more efficient integration of generation resources. You’ll gain hands-on experience with: Python scripting and automation Power system modeling tools such as PSSE, PowerWorld, and TARA CRM Dynamics and data management platforms Real-world interconnection processes and grid transformation efforts A Great Day in This Role Means: You’re collaborating with engineers to improve how new energy resources connect to the grid. You might be writing scripts to automate a manual process or building tools that improve data visibility. You’ll see your work used by the team in real time, helping accelerate interconnection timelines and support grid reliability. Your impact is clear. The tools and solutions you help build contribute to how MISO integrates new generation and maintains a reliable power system.
