About The Position

As our Director of Nursing, you’ll be the driving force behind exceptional patient care and high‑performing nursing operations. In this pivotal leadership role, you will:   Lead & Elevate Oversee all nursing operations within York General Family Medicine. Recruit, train, schedule, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to build a high‑performing, engaged team. Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure Excellence in Care Maintain and enhance nursing standards through policy development and process improvement. Support clinicians by implementing physician orders and stepping in with patient care when needed. Champion Compliance & Safety  Ensure adherence to all regulatory and state nursing board requirements. Oversee infection control, medication management, OSHA compliance, and documentation standards. Optimize Operations Manage equipment needs—from preventive maintenance to evaluating new technologies. Coordinate patient care needs including referrals, pre-authorizations, and preventive screenings in collaboration with the care coordination team.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in Nebraska (required)
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • BLS Certification (required)
  • 1+ years of nursing experience (preferred)
  • 1+ years of leadership experience (preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision‑making skills
  • Proficiency with electronic health records

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in outpatient or family medicine settings is a plus
