About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable Family Office & Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations across a diverse portfolio, with a strong emphasis on real estate investments and project-based accounting. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage day-to-day accounting functions while supporting high-net-worth individuals and coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a family office, real estate, or multi-entity environment
  • Strong experience with real estate accounting and project-based financial management
  • Proven experience managing AP/AR functions
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals or family office structures
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and contractors
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite) and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close
  • Manage and optimize accounts payable and accounts receivable (AP/AR) processes
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all financial transactions
  • Maintain financial records for multiple entities, including real estate holdings and related investments
  • Manage accounting for real estate assets, including tracking expenses, budgets, and cash flow
  • Oversee project tracking, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation
  • Partner with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial alignment across projects
  • Analyze project performance and provide actionable insights
  • Support the financial needs of high-net-worth individuals, including reporting, budgeting, and expense tracking
  • Coordinate across multiple entities, trusts, and investment structures
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive financial information
  • Supervise and manage AP/AR staff and external contractors
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, accountants, and advisors
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices across accounting operations
  • Communicate effectively across stakeholders and pivot priorities as needed in a dynamic environment
