About The Position

We are seeking experienced Fiber Splicers, including Lead Fiber Splicers, to support a high-profile data center fiber deployment project. This is a multi-phase engagement with strong potential for extension or long-term placement for top performers. Open Roles Fiber Splicers Lead Fiber Splicers (2 positions, one per shift) Lead Fiber Splicer Requirements Minimum 2 years of lead experience Proven ability to: Perform QC/QA Provide PM reporting Capture and manage site photos and documentation Lead and coordinate teams of up to 8 splicers Serve as primary on-site point of contact per shift Core Technical Responsibilities Mass fusion fiber splicing, including: Ribbonization 12–16 strand fusion Experience with: MPO scopes Fiber testing and troubleshooting (EXFO, Fujikura, or similar) Trunk routing and installation PDRs, LIUs, pigtails, and splice frames Cable tray installation Pulling fiber through MaxCell pathway systems Backbone and distribution fiber installation in high-density environments Pulling, landing, and splicing large-count fiber trunks across multiple floors Rack and patching preparation, including: Installation of 45U racks Installation of 4U fiber enclosures Front-end build work: Construct PDRs with LIUs Ribbonize and prep high-count fiber (base-12 to base-8) Splice to MPO-8 pigtails Labeling and documentation of all cables, frames, and panels End-to-end fiber testing using Oracle/TIA methodologies Bonding and grounding of racks, frames, and trays Preferred: Experience in data centers or high-density fiber environments Familiarity with large-scale backbone and distribution fiber projects Shift Information First Shift: Day shift (12-hour schedule, clock starts on site) Second Shift: Night shift (12-hour schedule, clock starts on site) Project Details Project start: Mid-February Initial phase duration: Approximately 5–7 weeks Additional phases planned Opportunity for extension or permanent placement based on performance PPE Requirements (Must Be Self-Provided) Hard hat with chin strap Cut-resistant gloves Safety glasses High-visibility vest Interview & Compliance One virtual interview No additional compliance requirements Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sterling, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
