Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering is required
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in engineering, oil and gas industry, or related experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude & problem‑solving abilities.
  • Engineering math competency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Technical writing & presenting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot tool and job issues in shop and field environments.
  • Assist with or perform installation of downhole completion equipment (primarily offshore GoM; some land/international).
  • Provide on‑site engineering support for complex completion jobs.
  • Support assembly shop in preparing downhole tools.
  • Lead job failure investigations (root cause analysis, testing, corrective actions).
  • Prepare internal and customer reports.
  • Conduct job quality and safety inspections.
  • Maintain product/service quality objectives aligned with customer and corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, sales, and customers on job planning for completion tools.
  • Support new product launches and coordinate updates with field and shop teams.
  • Review engineering releases for accuracy and application.
  • Create/update SOPs and Work Instructions for assembly and field operations.
  • Assist in training shop/field employees and oversee Associate Engineer development.
  • Support tool testing for customer issues and new designs.
