Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Previous inspection experience and/or training is preferred.
Familiar with, and knowledgeable in the use of, the typical measuring tools used for mechanical inspection, such as dial calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, optical contour projectors, hard gauges, and Gage maker Mic-Trac system.
Must have a working knowledge of high school mathematics, including algebra and trigonometry.
Reading and understanding specifications and other work-related documents.
Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions.
Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Must be able to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, schematics, diagrams, sketches, and/or specifications.
Ability to work on-call as needed.
Ability to safely operate and maintain the equipment used in the daily performance of their activities.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, according to applicable procedures and/or work orders.
Commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
Organize tasks and responsibilities in a manner that maintains production output standards.
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of new rental product
Perform functional tests on pieces/parts
Perform inspection of assemblies
Perform visual inspection of components and assemblies in accordance with applicable documents
Work with customer inspectors in the examination of the product
Assist Engineering and Operations in the investigation of product failures.
Assist outside suppliers with problems related to subcontracted parts.
Perform simple calibrations and maintain records for various tools, instruments, and gauges used in the manufacturing and inspection processes.
