Field Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer

Arcadis is looking for an Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Systems Engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience to join our Water Business Line in our White Plains, New York office. This is an exciting opportunity for an I&C Systems Design Engineer with process control, automation, and SCADA integration experience to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for I&C and SCADA design, implementation, and configuration services, and startup activities for diverse clients and projects for environmental remediation, industrial & municipal water and wastewater treatment, conveyance systems, and facilities. Please note that is a hybrid position that does require travel up to 50% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field of study.
- 4 to 7 years of I&C, automation, and SCADA system design and implementation experience.
- In depth knowledge of I&C design documents and their use in construction.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as excellent teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the water and wastewater industry.
- Expert level proficiency with multiple PLC and HMI platforms.
- Experience in OT and industrial networks, including radio and cellular telemetry networks.
- Experience in OT cybersecurity.
- Experience in database management for SCADA systems.
- Experience in developing bid and construction documents.
