About The Position

Delta Star Inc. is seeking a strategic, people‑focused, and operationally minded Field Service Operations Manager to lead the day‑to-day operations of our Field Service business. If you excel at guiding teams, building efficient workflows, and driving operational excellence across a dynamic, multi‑location environment, we want to hear from you! As the Field Service Operations Manager, you’ll oversee all operational functions within the Field Service Operations team—ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across every project. You’ll lead and develop staff, strengthen processes, partner closely with sales teams, and implement strategies that elevate performance and customer satisfaction. Your day will be a combination of team leadership, operational planning, and strategic problem‑solving. You’ll manage technicians across multiple locations, review performance metrics, address operational challenges, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently. You’ll collaborate with sales teams to validate project feasibility, act as an escalation point for urgent customer needs, and continuously identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce costs, and boost quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five years of relevant experience required; 7+ years preferred.
  • Strong background in electrical substation maintenance with an emphasis on medium‑voltage power transformers.
  • Understanding of electrical substation testing, safety standards, asset management, and life‑extension practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decision‑making.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for both internal and customer‑facing interactions.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Positive, team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage Operations staff across multiple locations, including remote employees.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, task assignment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, goals, and schedules.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues; respond to emergencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze processes and design improvements that enhance productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Track and report KPIs; analyze operational data to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Manage operational expenses, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and support budget oversight.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with safety, testing, and quality standards.
  • Partner with sales teams (Proposals, RSD, Reps, etc.) to ensure accurate and achievable quotes.
  • Serve as the escalation point for sales and operations on customer‑related matters.
