We’re looking for a Field Service Technician - Quebec Provide preventive and emergency maintenance on Entrust equipment installed at customer sites. Ensure devices remain operational, addressing both scheduled upkeep and urgent repairs. We offer flexibility We offer a diverse work environment Futureproof your career with a job in information security How you will make an impact: Key Responsibilities Perform electronic and electromechanical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on systems including mechanical embossers, thermal image application units, laminators, magstripe/chip data writers, laser engraving, and ultraviolet curing systems. Conduct routine tasks: cleaning rollers, sensors, cavities; calibrating sensors and data readers/writers; adjusting hardware/software settings; evaluating and replacing worn parts (motors, belts, bearings, sensors). Use test equipment (voltmeters, laptops) and hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches). Maintain trunk inventory and submit accurate service reports using dispatch systems. Respond to service calls promptly and dependably. Customer Interaction Engage professionally with customer operations staff, reflecting Entrust values. Aim to resolve most issues independently, adapting to client environments and norms. Professional Development Participate in Entrust-led training and quality initiatives. Assist junior staff and share improvement suggestions. ---------- Nous recrutons un technicien de service sur site - Québec Aperçu du rôle Assurer la maintenance préventive et d'urgence des équipements Entrust installés chez les clients. Veiller à ce que les appareils restent opérationnels, en traitant à la fois les entretiens planifiés et les réparations urgentes. Responsabilités clés Effectuer le dépannage électronique et électromécanique, le diagnostic et les réparations sur des systèmes tels que les embosseuses mécaniques, les unités d'application d'image thermique, les plastifieuses, les encodeurs de données magnétiques/puces, gravure laser et les systèmes de durcissement ultraviolet. Effectuer des tâches courantes : nettoyage des rouleaux, capteurs, cavités ; calibrage des capteurs et des lecteurs/encodeurs de données ; réglage des paramètres matériels/logiciels ; évaluation et remplacement des pièces usées (moteurs, courroies, roulements, capteurs). Utiliser des équipements de test (voltmètres, ordinateurs portables) et des outils manuels (tournevis, pinces, clés). Maintenir l'inventaire du coffre et soumettre des rapports de service précis via les systèmes de répartition. Répondre rapidement et de manière fiable aux appels de service. Interaction avec le client Interagir professionnellement avec le personnel des opérations des clients, en reflétant les valeurs d'Entrust. Chercher à résoudre la plupart des problèmes de manière autonome, en s'adaptant aux environnements et aux normes des clients. Développement professionnel Participer aux formations et initiatives de qualité dirigées par Entrust. Acquérir des compétences dans les logiciels et systèmes pertinents. Assister le personnel junior et partager des suggestions d'amélioration.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an electromechanical technician.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and PC proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license—willingness to travel to customer sites daily.
  • Flexibility for varying shifts, travel, and on-call availability.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and be physically active (bending, walking).
  • Bilingual: English/French
  • Availability for overtime when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in electronics or a related field (or equivalent training).
  • Electromechanical/field service experience, ideally including Entrust central issuance equipment.
  • Skilled with electronic test equipment and digital electronics.
