About The Position

The Field Technician, Panhandle Midstream is responsible for operational, mechanical and instrument/electrical functions, including inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. This work includes such activities as supervising/directing field crews, maintaining pipelines in compliance with contracts, regulations, and safety considerations, coordinating with on-site contractors, and ensuring cost effective and safe operations. This position can be based out of Spearman, Perryton, Canadian, or Booker, TX, maintaining assets across the region. This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Currently live, or willing to relocate if selected, within 35 miles of one of the reporting locations (Spearman, Perryton, Canadian, or Booker, TX)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willing and able to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally exert pulling force of 130 pounds
  • Regularly stoop, squat, kneel, and crouch for durations up to 30 minutes
  • Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Work occasional afterhours call outs, based on business need
  • Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines
  • Work inside gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity
  • Work in loud environment
  • Periodically pull/push doors open to move around the gas plant
  • Occasionally climb A-frame ladders

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in Pipeline maintenance or operation and natural gas compression
  • 3 or more years of oil and gas experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspection of equipment and facilities (equipment health, security, AVO- Audio, Visual, Olfactory), operation of liquid handling systems, and operation of dehydration systems
  • Conduct pipeline pigging, hydrate management, etc.
  • Handle Startup, Shutdown, and operation of gas compression equipment
  • Maintain pipeline ROW such as markers, signs, and vegetation, exposures
  • Maintain One-Call - Pipeline Locating, encroachment, excavation & Crossing
  • Maintain records in accordance with Pipeline regulatory requirements
  • Conduct routine inspection, calibration and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meter, flow computer)
  • Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, manual valve actuators, etc.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of fixed equipment such as filters (all types), strainers, dehydration systems, etc.
  • Conduct routine inspection, such as transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, level detection, etc.
  • Operate PLC, HMI equipment, software, pipeline valves and actuators
  • Operate Booster Stations
  • Maintain and repair motor control equipment
