Purpose of Role The Finance Intern supports the accuracy of financial records through account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and cash allocation activities. It assists with month‑end and quarter‑end close, maintains audit-ready documentation, and responds to ad hoc requests from finance and cross‑functional teams. By resolving discrepancies collaboratively, the role helps ensure strong financial controls and efficient operational workflows.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or business administration is preferred but business law and legal studies / prelaw are accepted.
  • Genuine interest in one or more of the program’s departmental tracks.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship, including, but not limited to, F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa holders, as well as individuals on CPT or OPT.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Assist with cash allocation processes to support operational efficiency.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from the finance team and other departments.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including account analysis.
  • Maintain organized documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct.
  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
  • To escalate risk events immediately.
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.
  • The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time.
