This individual is the financial business partner and counsel to the TBI BARDA (Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority) team and leadership within Core Diagnostics. This position supports the strategic program to expand claims on our current Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) assay and provides financial information which enables timely and effective decision making. This role has full responsibility for the planning and execution of key financial processes of the TBI BARDA program, including Plan, RLBEs, Confirmations, Actuals Reporting, Balance Sheet and invoicing the federal government. This position is an individual contributor role. What You Will Work On Lead and manage the development of annual and quarterly budgets for the TBI BARDA program. Responsible for the invoicing of the federal government and adhoc financial modeling. Coordinate the planning of budget needs with functional representatives (Program Management Office, Medical, Clinical, etc.) for ongoing clinical studies and present LBE summaries to cross-functional team (CFT). Prepare RLBE Review presentations and all required Division/Corporate schedules. Strong communication and business partnership are a must. Responsibilities include: Forecasting & Planning: Lead and manage the development of accurate P&L and Balance Sheet forecasts for the TBI BARDA program. Understand and communicate key forecast assumptions and potential material risks and opportunities to the forecasts. Lead RLBE and Confirmation reviews with R&D Controller. Prepare schedules and commentary required for Division submission and presentations to Core Diagnostics senior leadership. Reporting & Invoicing: Review and understand actual financial results for the program including ensuring the accuracy of financial information and related operational metrics including comparisons to appropriate benchmarks. Present any material variances to the R&D Controller. Develop and distribute monthly actuals reporting packages. Assess monthly actual spend during month end close to book appropriate journal entries. Review invoice or ACR submissions from suppliers for payment. Prepare and submit invoices to the federal government. As well as regular financial reporting to BARDA (travel, CLIN budgets, etc.). Present finance updates to CFT (cross functional team) weekly and R&D/Division leadership as needed.
