Position Summary: The Finance Manager, Operations will serve as the primary FP&A partner for one of AdaptHealth’s major hospital programs supporting financial performance across all four of AdaptHealth’s operating segments (Sleep, Respiratory, Wellness at Home, and Diabetes). This role will combine financial planning & analysis disciplines with deep operational insights into referral patterns, payer reimbursement, utilization trends, and patient mix. The Finance Manager will own forecast, budgeting, and performance analytics, variance analysis, and strategic decision support for a high-visibility program to ensure efficient business operations. The Manager will review outcomes with an analytical mindset and develop thoughtful recommendations for strategic initiatives to key business partners, various stakeholders in the organization. The Finance Manager will report to the VP, Operations Finance. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: Lead the monthly P&L preparation and other key performance indicators assigned the hospital system, including the Monthly Executive Close Package and Revenue Reporting. Strong understanding of business drivers and ability to correlate drivers to expected outcomes, inclusive of the development of metric trend analyses. Partner with operational and financial management to drive the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process. This includes ensuring the operational finance leaders are aligned on timing and expectations of what needs to be included and highlighted in their respective forecasts. The Finance Manager will also consolidate all results and prepare a monthly update for Executive Leadership, inclusive of concise Risks and Opportunities. Model key HME operational drivers: eligible patient counts, utilization trends, PM/PM by state and payer, referral volume, rental vs purchase trends, resupply cadence, and reimbursement changes. Manage the normalization schedule of actuals/forecast and budget analysis by a partnering with Accounting to understand non-recurring one time adjustments and other budget adjustments from restructuring and M&A. Serve as the finance lead for the assigned hospital system, participating in client meetings, QBRs, and operational reviews. Play a critical role in the monthly Executive Forecast Review process via preparation of monthly presentations and ad hoc analysis. Strong focus on financial process improvement, modeling, and automation of financial reporting. Identifies, executes, and implements key efficiencies to drive value creation. Build business cases for operational investments, staffing models, technology enhancements, and process improvements. Performs ad hoc modeling, analyses and projects for senior leadership as required.
