About The Position

Thermo Fisher Scientific's Single Use Division is hiring a Finance Manager, Operations. This role reports to the Director, Finance Operations, and supports the VP of Operations and their team members. SUD Operations has 9 manufacturing locations and supports 3 separate business units. This role has one direct report. Lead division close and forecast process; consolidate site results and outlook into a network view of OCOGS Provide financial oversite and leadership to SUD operations leadership team, partnering with site leaders, supply chain, quality, HR, and engineering to drive process improvements, costs understanding, and margin enhancement Supervise and develop a financial analyst, enabling them to contribute and grow in the organization Partner with multiple functions to assess and strategize on network optimization to improve product and total business profitability Ad-Hoc support of BU finance leaders Drive annual operating plan (AOP) process with the operations team to develop site and total budget with efficiency and costs targets Leader of divisions CAPEX forecast, prioritization, and governance process. Aligning BU leaders, operations and R&D. Provide finance support and oversight for supplemental metrics such as efficiency, leakage, inventory, E&O, backorder, etc. Perform financial evaluation of capital expenditures to ensure profitable business decisions Proactively lead analytics to drive margin expansion. Partner with cost accounting and global accounting teams to ensure compliance and optimized processes

Requirements

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
  • 4+ years related work experience
  • Prior experience in a large global and highly matrixed organization, preferably within manufacturing or supply chain
  • Demonstrated understanding of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), enterprise-wide ERP systems (intuitive, Oracle R12), Hyperion Planning
  • Strong Communication skills throughout the organization; presenting up and around the organization
  • Experience with cost accounting, close process, variance analysis and reporting, and forecasting assumptions and creation
  • Organized multitasker: workload prioritization, able to meet tight deadlines while achieving results, especially in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Consistent track record to simplify and streamline finance processes
  • Highly analytical with strong business insight
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven business partner and influencer of outcomes. Ability to address sophisticated problems with tact and resolve
