The purpose of the Financial Accountant I position is to support the Accounting department by performing various functions to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Company’s accounting records. Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) and GSuite (Google Sheets, Slides, Docs)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field required
  • 2-3 years of related work experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze balance sheet accounts, including the preparation of multiple bank reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries to record daily business activity and for the month-end close
  • Effectively analyze and communicate income statement trends and/or issues with the accounting team
  • Evaluate financial information by developing reports and verifying information
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Assist the Financial Accountant II, Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting Manager, or Director of Accounting with special projects, as needed
