About The Position

As a Financial Operations Intern, you will support the Financial Operations function while developing proficiency in accounting, analytics, and financial operations.

This position is located in the Binghamton Home Office.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of general accounting principles.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
• Ability to think analytically and critically.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent data entry skills.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and organize a heavy workload.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Two years of completed of college coursework required.
• Completion of three years of college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with balance sheet reconciliation, audits, month-end financial reports and accounts payable.
• Assist with the development of internal control policies and procedures.
• Manage the monthly tracking of fixed asset inventory.
• Observe and participate in business operations and decision-making.
• Apply accounting concepts and theories to real-world decision-making.
• Develop and improve business skills in communication, technology, quantitative reasoning, and teamwork
