This is Hybrid role (3 days in office /2 days remote) Interactive Brokers is seeking a financial professional with critical thinking to join our finance team. This position leads the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) team of two analysts and reports to the SVP of Finance. The department delivers data-driven insights to senior management for their use in evaluating the current and proposed business activities of the firm. You are expected to challenge the status quo and proposed strategic initiatives with sound research and analysis evaluated through both a logical and skeptical lens.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services industry in a financial analysis team or an equity research team.
  • 2-5 years managing such team
  • Bachelor's degree required; CFA or CPA a plus
  • Independent and confident in the ability to research products, services, industries, and companies and fact check their results
  • Competency in digesting financial statements through strong knowledge of accounting standards
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Expert on the state of the industry by keeping current with the fast pace of global financial services
  • Prepare executive-level presentations on: the state of the industry our competitive positioning new industry products and services new entrants to the industry
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics to track progress and be an early indicator of trends in our customer trading behavior
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives inclusive of investments in other companies.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the FP&A team
