Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Reporting Manager. Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, you will play a key role in the preparation and review of the company’s financial statements and related disclosures. This position is responsible for drafting financial statement footnotes, MD&A quantitative and narrative content, overseeing XBRL tagging, while also serving as the primary liaison with Technical Accounting and Legal for disclosure updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Five to six years total relevant experience with minimum of four to five years in a Big Four public accounting firm including public clients
  • In depth knowledge of GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting guidance
  • Detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, Hyperion, Smart View, Workiva or other enterprise accounting and financial information systems is a plus
  • Insurance or insurance brokerage industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual filings, including 10‑Q and 10‑K, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Draft, maintain, and enhance financial statement footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements
  • Assist with the preparation of 8‑K filings, earnings releases, and other periodic submissions
  • Own and review XBRL tagging, taxonomy selections, and quality controls
  • Maintain disclosure checklists and monitor changes in SEC filing requirements and disclosure trends
  • Support tie‑out and financial statement consistency checks
  • Prepare content for the Disclosure Committee, including financial sections and draft narrative
  • Partner with Technical Accounting on adoption of new accounting standards and updates to notes
  • Work with Legal to align financial disclosures with risk factors, regulatory language, and corporate narrative
  • Provide ad hoc assistance and support for special projects, as necessary
