Department Snapshot – Deltona Fire Rescue Approximately 19,689 calls responded to annually 5 Fire Stations currently in operation ISO Class 2 rating (Goal: ISO Class 1) Two new stations planned for future growth Average medic response time of approximately 12 minutes Expanding EMS transport program and service coverage Position Summary The purpose of this position is to provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the City of Deltona Fire Rescue Department. The Fire Chief manages and leads the department utilizing available personnel, equipment, and resources to protect life and property while minimizing the impact of natural and man ‑ made disasters. This role develops long ‑ range goals for the department, establishes policies and operational strategies, and works closely with the City Manager and City Commission to support the City's public safety priorities.
