Requirements

  • Junior standing or higher in the College of Engineering during both the semesters of employment
  • Good judicial standing with the University of Arkansas

Responsibilities

  • The First Year Engineering Course assistants will be responsible for at least one section (usually two sections) of an FEP course.
  • Duties will include answering questions related to assignments and projects, classroom set up and clean up, and assisting the instructor and/or guest speakers as needed.
  • Course assistants will be assigned specific office hours within the FEP Center
  • Responsible for grading one or more sections of an FEP course
  • Attend meetings and perform other duties as required by FEP which support the courses and students. Including but not limited to FEP Welcome Picnic, Departmental Recruiting Sessions, Honors Research Symposium, Annual FEP Banquet.
  • Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
