About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Flat Laser Operators for projects located in the Rock Valley, IA area. This is a third shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $27/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Operate Mitsubishi fiber laser systems with automation Download and run layout programs Use automation to load and move raw material onto the laser bed Verify correct material is being cut Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet blueprint tolerances and are burr-free Perform routine machine maintenance, including: Cleaning laser bed slats Removing slag from beneath the machine Operate a forklift Occasionally operate an overhead crane
Requirements
- Proven experience operating flat laser systems (Mitsubishi preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tolerances
- Forklift experience required (overhead crane experience a plus)
- Pass a drug screen and background check

Responsibilities
- Operate Mitsubishi fiber laser systems with automation
