About The Position

North Atlantic Service is looking to add an experienced, hardworking Fleet Mechanic to our team. We are a landscape, firewood, and commercial snow management company with a large fleet of assets. This role supports in-house maintenance and repair of light and heavy-duty trucks, small engines, and heavy equipment. Pay range: $25 - $35 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: 40 - 50 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with increased workload and potential for weekend work during winter months What You’ll Do: Fleet Maintenance & Repair Perform preventative maintenance and repairs across a diverse fleet Diagnose and repair issues on light-duty trucks, heavy trucks, small engines, and heavy equipment Complete both scheduled and emergency repairs as needed Work on a primarily Ford Fleet Work with equipment from manufacturers such as CAT and Komatsu Perform welding, cutting, and basic fabrication work (preferred) Perform many electrical repairs on plows, sanders, winged pushers, and all things lights, along with many electrical systems on trucks and equipment Respond to and complete work orders in a timely manner Perform mobile repairs in the field as needed, especially during peak winter months Identify and communicate additional maintenance, safety concerns, or needed repairs Why Work for Us: Weekly Pay Period Competitive pay based on your skills and experience 401k plan and match for your financial future Health, Dental, Vision Insurance available 6 Paid Company Holidays Paid Time Off Employee Discount (firewood, wood pellets, and landscaping if in service area) Advancement Opportunities as our company continues to grow What We’re Looking For: Valid drivers license required; CDL a plus, but not required Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card required OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred Experience working with Ford, CAT, and Komatsu preferred Proficiency in mechanical systems (transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc) Ability to use work order management software on phone or tablet Ability to work independently without constant supervision Strong sense of urgency and accountability Organized, safety-focused work style Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Requirements

  • Valid drivers license required; CDL a plus, but not required
